MagCanica provided significant support at the 24 Hours of LeMans this year, up to and including the keystone race event for the World Endurance Championship, for both Hypercar and LMGT3 categories. Senior Embedded Systems Engineer Brian Katan, Hardware Engineering Manager Paul Guativa, and company President Sami Bitar worked over the days preceding the event and throughout the 24-hour race to ensure proper installation and smooth operation of the torquemeters. The grueling event provided the opportunity for a fleet of 113 MagCanica torque sensor system running across 37 vehicles to accumulate approximately half a million kilometers of running in aggregate, without any native torquemeter failures or major issues observed. This marks the fifth consecutive year that MagCanica driveshaft torque sensor systems run at LeMans as part of the regulations, and the twelfth year that MagCanica clutch shaft torque sensor systems run at LeMans in the top class category.
