IMSA Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen

Mechanical Design and Application Engineers Gary Fernicola and Andrew Feiner provided on-site support at the IMSA 2025 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, held at the renowned Watkins Glen International racetrack. MagCanica torque sensors were deployed across all vehicles in the GTP, GTD Pro, and GTD classes, and Gary and Andrew worked closely with race teams to ensure optimal sensor performance throughout the event.

Despite the challenges posed by rapidly changing weather conditions and a high-pressure racing environment, the torque sensors performed reliably across the board, with no failures reported. This outcome reflects not only Gary and Andrew’s dedicated efforts but also the consistent reliability of MagCanica’s technology and the broader team’s commitment to excellence.

The critical role of torque sensing was underscored in the dramatic final moments of the race, when Car 60 secured victory with just 1% of its energy tank remaining—precisely monitored by MagCanica’s sensors—as Car 31 ran out of energy on the final lap.
