MagCanica has developed a proprietary flux-gate magnetometer construction, and pioneers the combination of cutting-edge electronics, electronics packaging, and firmware in the torque-sensor market. With patented systems and methods that enable us to extract the highest possible accuracy from magnetoelastic torque sensors, we continue to push the limit of the technology, incorporate new enabling technologies into our sensors, and expect this to result in significant benefits in the future as well. These benefits include increased accuracy, ease-of-use, and further insensitivity to temperature, displacement, and the influence of external magnetic fields and interference.

 

For aerospace and defense applications when software certification needs to be considered, and when the accuracy requirements are not as stringent (greater than 2% error is acceptable), MagCanica offers the Mil-Spec certified SCM-AE (Signal Conditioning Module – Aerospace). This module is fully analog, and offers two independent channels with a 4 to 20mA style output.

 

For those aerospace and defense applications requiring higher accuracy levels, embedded solutions including MagCanica’s proprietary accuracy enhancement capabilities are also available upon request, wherein specific digital signal output requirements and/or EMI hardening requirements would be specifically addressed.
