MagCanica’s Senior Electrical Engineer, Paul Guativa, supported 2025 Dakar from January 2nd through the 18th for the 15-day event formally spanning January 3rd through 17th. The event has set a record at MagCanica for longest continuous track support. Paul moved throughout the Saudi Arabian desert, working and living among the approximately 3500 people that moved with the bivouac. The MagCanica torque sensors were installed on 20 cars for the event. Even though some cars did not make it to the finish line, the MagCanica sensors performed well and proved their reliability in the grueling endurance environment of Dakar.
