IMSA Sanctioned Test at Sebring International Raceway

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continued its 2025 season with an official test session at Sebring International Raceway, where teams prepared for the upcoming Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Representing MagCanica on-site was Electrical Hardware Engineer, Alex Yeh, collaborating with IMSA Engineering to support the drivers and teams as they refined their setups.

Over the course of three days, 28 cars from the GTP, GTD, and GTD Pro categories ran with more than over 60 MagCanica driveshaft and clutch shaft torque sensor systems onboard, gathering valuable data that will inform both vehicle performance and system reliability. This testing was intended to further refine the GTD teams’ usage and understanding of the driveshaft torquemeters specifically, to help ensure that the championship will continue to deliver the highly competitive racing for which IMSA is known.
