Supporting a race closer to home, Clay Walker and Pedro Chavarria attended the pre-race testing as well as the race itself at Laguna Seca. This event remained more on the relaxing side, in which they were able to enjoy different vantage points of the action, including the infamous corkscrew, At this part of the circuit, the cars plummet over 5 stories in only 450 feet (.~150 meters).
