Leveraging its many years of F1 torque sensor engineering experience, MagCanica has designed the market-leading F1 KERS/HERS torque sensor systems. MagCanica’s non-contact technology makes these systems specifically adapted to the very high RPM (tested up to 150,000 RPM) and low torque environments commonly found in KERS/HERS Motor-Generated Units (MGU). Extensive testing carried out to date has proven the MagCanica KERS/HERS torque sensor’s capacity for maintaining laboratory-grade accuracy in strong magnetic fields and extreme temperatures. MagCanica’s MGUK torque sensor system is under active development in Formula 1 with a view to its becoming mandatory in the near future.
