Leveraging its many years of F1 torque sensor engineering experience, MagCanica has designed the market-leading F1 MGUK torque sensor systems. MagCanica’s non-contact technology makes these systems specifically adapted to the very high RPM (tested up to 60,000 RPM) and low torque environments commonly found in Motor-Generated Units (MGU). Extensive testing carried out to date has proven the MagCanica MGUK torque sensor’s capacity for maintaining laboratory-grade accuracy in strong magnetic fields and extreme temperatures, even in-vehicle under demanding sprint race and endurance race conditions. MagCanica’s MGUK torque sensor system mandatory in Formula 1 and is used to monitor the electrical contribution of the power unit’s total power delivery.
