Designed to be compatible with industrial high speed coupling assemblies, MagCanica’s probe style sensors can be readily adapted to existing coupling guards surrounding coupling shafts driving generators, pumps, or gearboxes as part of industrial gas compression trains or power generation trains. MagCanica has a torque testing-rig that can apply up to ±125,000Nm of torque, and has successfully instrumented shafts that transmit mega-watts of power while spinning at speeds in excess of 15,000 rpm. While other sensor designs have been used, the probe style sensors are often an ideal embodiment for these installations having relatively large shaft diameters. The modular probe design can be leveraged for multiple different installations.
